Two-factor authentication

In Rowdx
  1. Subscription & account
  2. Two-factor authentication

or Settings → Two-factor authentication

After your password, the system asks for a code from your phone, so nobody can sign in without your phone even if they know your password. We recommend it for all users, especially those with financial permissions.

Methods

MethodHow it works
Authenticator app (recommended)Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. The code changes every 30 seconds and works without internet or SMS.
SMSA code sent to your Saudi mobile on every sign-in. May not be available at all times.

Setting up an authenticator app

  1. Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone. If you already have one, use it.
  2. Open Two-factor authentication and choose Authenticator app.
  3. In the app tap (+) and choose Scan QR code, then scan the code on screen. Can't scan? Choose Enter a setup key and type the key shown under the code.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app under Rowdx.
  5. You'll see Two-factor authentication enabled.

Setting up SMS

  1. Choose SMS.
  2. Enter your Saudi mobile number starting with 05 and tap Send code.
  3. Enter the code you receive (valid for 10 minutes).

Company policy (System Manager)

The system manager decides who must use two-factor authentication:

OptionMeaning
OptionalEach user turns it on if they want
Required for managersUsers with System Manager rights
Required for everyoneAll users

When required, users are asked to set it up at their next sign-in and can't turn it off — only change the method.

New phone or deleted the app?

Ask your system manager to click Reset next to your name on the same screen. Your old setup is removed and you set it up again at your next sign-in.
