or directly at yourcompany.rowdx.com/kitchen
The kitchen display shows orders as soon as they're saved on the cashier, so preparation starts without paper. It runs on any screen or tablet in the kitchen.
Starting it
- Open the kitchen display on the kitchen device and sign in with the kitchen user.
- Tap Start kitchen display. This tap enables the alert sound for new orders; browsers don't play sound without it.
- Choose the branch if you have more than one.
- Tap Full screen.
Preparing orders
Each order is a card with the order name or table, order type (dine-in, takeaway, delivery), items with quantities and modifiers, and cashier notes.
- Tap an item to mark it done.
- When the whole order is done, tap Ready. It moves to the Ready tab and the cashier gets a Ready in kitchen alert.
- When it's handed over, tap Served.
- If it was marked ready by mistake, tap Back to preparing.
The Ready tab shows orders that were ready or served in the last 6 hours.
Sections (several screens)
With several prep stations, such as a bar and a hot kitchen, run one screen per station and choose under Sections what each shows. Sections are item groups, so the bar screen shows drinks only and the kitchen screen shows dishes.
Each screen remembers its choice, and sections appear automatically as orders come in.
Items added later
If the cashier adds items to an order already sent, the kitchen receives only the new items as a separate order with the same name.
Connection drops
If you see No connection to the server · retrying…, the screen reconnects automatically and shows new orders as soon as it's back. Make sure the kitchen device is online.
