Adding a customer

  1. Click New customer.
  2. Enter the customer name as it should appear on invoices.
  3. Choose the type: individual or company.
  4. Enter mobile and email. The mobile number is used automatically when sharing invoices on WhatsApp.
  5. Save.

You can also add a customer from the customer field inside an invoice.

Business customers (tax invoice)

If the customer is a VAT-registered business, their invoice is a tax invoice rather than a simplified one, and must carry their full details:

  • VAT number (15 digits).
  • National address: street, building number, district, city, postal code.

Add the address in the customer's Addresses section. Without these details ZATCA may reject the invoice if your system is connected.

  3. Customer Ledger Summary

Pick the customer and period to see the opening balance, invoices, receipts, returns and closing balance. Print it or export to Excel and send it to the customer.

To see how much each customer owes and since when, use Accounts Receivable. See Accounting reports.

Importing customers from Excel

For a large list: Settings → Data → Data Import, document type Customer. Steps in Settings.

Disabling a customer

Don't delete a customer with invoices. Open their record and tick Disabled; they disappear from pickers on new documents and their history stays.
