ZATCA (Fatoora) connection
- E-invoicing
- One-step ZATCA connection
If your business is subject to Phase 2 of e-invoicing (integration phase), Rowdx connects your system to ZATCA's Fatoora platform. Once connected, every invoice you submit is sent to ZATCA automatically.
Just two steps: enter your business details once, then the OTP from the Fatoora portal. The system registers the device, runs the compliance invoices and activates the connection automatically.
Available after subscribing
Connecting to ZATCA isn't available during the free trial, because every invoice sent to ZATCA can't be deleted and trials usually use test data. During the trial you can enter your business details (step 1), and connecting unlocks automatically once you subscribe. The connection is free on every plan.
Step 1: business details
Enter the details exactly as on your VAT registration certificate and national address:
| Field | Format |
|---|---|
| Business name | As registered with ZATCA |
| VAT number | 15 digits starting and ending with 3 |
| Commercial registration | 10 digits (or the unified number 700) |
| Building number | 4 digits from the national address |
| Postal code | From the national address |
| Branch name | Shown on the e-invoicing device certificate |
| Invoice types you issue | Both (individuals and businesses) · Simplified only (B2C) · Standard only (B2B) |
| Business activity | e.g. wholesale, restaurant, contracting |
If unsure about invoice types, leave Both. Then click Save details.
Step 2: OTP from the Fatoora portal
- Sign in to the Fatoora portal with your business account.
- Choose Onboard New Solution Unit.
- Set the number of devices to 1 and click Generate OTP.
- Copy the 6-digit code. It's valid for one hour.
- Back in Rowdx, paste the code and click Connect now.
This takes 1 to 3 minutes. Keep the page open or come back later. On success the status shows Connected to ZATCA.
After connecting
- Every sales invoice you submit is sent to ZATCA automatically.
- Follow invoice status in E-invoicing → ZATCA integration log and Invoices sent to ZATCA.
- The ZATCA dashboard shows a status summary.
- If an invoice couldn't be sent (e.g. a connection drop), it's retried from E-invoicing sync.
Correcting a sent invoice
An invoice sent to ZATCA can't be cancelled. Correct it with a credit or debit note.
Changing details and reconnecting
Changing the VAT number, commercial registration or address stops the connection until you reconnect with a new OTP. Click Edit details and reconnect, update the details, and repeat step 2.
