The Quality module has two uses: inspecting goods on receipt, before delivery or during production, and a quality management system (goals, reviews, non-conformances, corrective actions) for businesses that apply ISO or want structured improvement.

Quality inspection

Setup

1. Quality inspection templates (Quality → Setup): a list of parameters per kind of item. Each parameter has a numeric min and max (weight between 490 and 510 g) or an accepted value (colour: white).
2. On the item → Quality section: choose the template, and when inspection is required:
   • Inspection required before purchase: on the purchase receipt or invoice.
   • Inspection required before delivery: on the delivery note or sales invoice.
   • In manufacturing: from the operation settings.

3. Add, or from the document: the Quality inspection button

1. Inspection type: incoming, outgoing, in process.
2. The reference document (e.g. the purchase receipt), the item and sample size.
3. The template parameters appear. Enter the reading for each, and the system sets Accepted or Rejected automatically.
4. Submit.

If inspection is required, the original document can't be submitted until there's an accepted inspection. Rejected quantities go to the rejected warehouse.

Quality management system

Item	Purpose
Quality procedures	Documented, approved procedures (how we receive, how we store) with their steps, as a tree
Quality goals	A measurable goal (returns under 2%) with monthly monitoring
Quality reviews	Periodic review of goals: were they met?
Non-conformances	Record any error, complaint or deviation from procedure
Quality actions	What will be done to fix it and prevent recurrence, with an owner and date
Quality feedback	Customer satisfaction survey from a question template
Quality meetings	Minutes, agenda items and decisions

Handling a problem

1. Record a non-conformance: what happened, when, and the related procedure.
2. Create a quality action: root cause, fix, owner and due date.
3. Follow up to closure, and review the effect in the next quality review.

Reports

Quality inspection summary (in Manufacturing): inspections, accepted and rejected per item and supplier, so you know which supplier delivers defective goods.
